Mia is a beautiful cat who can be a bit shy. She does not like to be picked up, but is very content to sit with you and be petted. Mia watches everything around her and loves to be in the same room as people. She has been exposed to FIP. FIP is a poorly understood disease of cats, it is caused by a type of corona virus that is contracted as a kitten but may not show symptoms for years. FIP can show up with many different symptoms, most commonly lethargy, enlarged abdomen, weight loss, and diarrhea. It is not a curable disease and eventually leads to death. Importantly NOT ALL cats exposed to FIP contract the disease. Because he been exposed, we are waiving her adoption fee. She is here with 5 other cats.
